All is well

Last night was our first preview service for The Well Covenant Church. Our core team of about 30 was there early to set up and check on things. The only hitch that I knew about was that latex balloons were purchased, and there were people coming with latex allergies, but Kari, our administrator, ran off to buy mylar balloons and saved the day.

Lots of people from our "mother" church, Plymouth Covenant, came to help. We filed into the sanctuary where a crowd of 400 plus awaited the evening with excitement. The band played, some new, energetic sounds, and some older familiar ones as well. We had multi-media--three large screens set up on the old high school auditorium stage, with video images showing across the screen and also some video clips of interviews and even Mr. Bean. It was a great evening that seemed to be enjoyed by all, even though the temperature outside hovered around 0 degrees F. The warmth of the Spirit was present and we celebrated with joy.
