Ahhh Aruba

This past week I've been helping out in an office close to home--assembling packets for a mailing. Most of the office staff are going to a business convention in Aruba--an annual business convention headed up by the Carlson Companies here in the Twin Cities, MN. Aruba sounded pretty good after freezing in the wind at Christina's softball game. White sandy beaches, warm sun....a tropical paradise just miles from the coast of Venezuela...

But, they say that they spend all of their time running around making sure all the guests have everything they need, and don't really have time to enjoy the island unless they extend their stay. And it's towards the end of May--Christina's confirmation and graduation are coming up, along with Luke's graduation--and keeping Mark on track for finishing the year well......

There will be other chances to travel. For now, I'm happy to be home.

But I can just feel the sand beneath my toes, the waves lapping against my ankles.....
