Last concert

Last night we attended the kids' last concert of the year. For Mark, at least, it was the last school band concert. He's played the tenor saxophone since 5th grade--been in jazz band for several years and even taken some small tours. Christina's been playing the flute--taking time off in 7th and 8th grade, but she's enjoyed playing at West.

A week from tomorrow is Mark's graduation. It hardly seems possible! He's been waiting for his high school career to be finished, not always patiently, but the other day he remarked that this coming ending is "kinda sad."

On a happy note, Tim and I are looking forward to our getaway weekend. We won't be too far from home, and Terry will be here with the kids. I think his daughter Maria may come to stay at our house for at least part of the weekend (she is 13). It should be a great weekend for all.

Probably won't get a chance to blog again till Monday--have a great weekend everybody!
