A wonderful weekend

We got back from a restful, fun weekend in Chaska, MN at the Peacock Inn. We stayed in the Shirley Shanusbruer room (also pictured above)--so beautiful and comfortable! We had a wonderful time with our friends the Sieverts at the Musical of Musicals, the Musical at the Chanhassen Dinner Theater. Turns out the other couple who was staying at the B&B was at the musical as well. Breakfast was wonderful and beautifully prepared. You must go to the Peacock Inn website (link above) to see how magnificent this place is. The innkeeper, Joyce, is really friendly and very good at what she does. We had dessert each nice with wine (or you can choose non-alcoholic--we splurged for this one time).

The second night a couple who had just gotten married (two middle school teachers--a band director and a science teacher) stayed at the room next to ours (no, we didn't hear any thing!). It was fun to get to know them a little bit at breakfast this morning. They have a gift opening this afternoon and have to go back to school tomorrow, but they will honeymoon in June in Mexico.
