Fun concert

Every February the boys' high school bands have an informal "Pops" concert--this year was fun as usual. The kids arrive in varying states of dress--some wore clown suits, pajamas or wigs. Mark borrowed his friend's sister's purple hooded sweatshirt, Luke wore his red Trix t-shirt. Luke played his electric guitar in jazz band, and his bass clarinet in the regular band--Mark played the tenor sax in his band. We were also t reated to hearing various sectionals, including a double reeds performance of "Bohemian Rhapsody." You should have heard those oboes on "Galleleo, Gallileo (sp), etc." Quite an entertaining evening. And it was all topped off by a performance of the Robbinsdale city band.

A nice break during a taxing season.
