Falling leaves

The leaves are starting to fall en masse from the trees. The parishoners from the church in our back yard are hard at work, raking, mowing and bagging leaves and small branches.

I actually mowed the grass about a week ago--for the last time this season, I'm sure. We have enjoyed such a beautiful autumn. Tomorrow, there is speculation of some snow showers. I know winter can't keep her mitt away from us forever. The snow will be pretty when it comes, but more welcome if it waits till closer to Christmas.

My goodness--Christmas is only two months away! We better get our cards, gifts, decorations and baking underway soon!
