Thank you for praying!

Thank you so much for your prayers for my sister-in-law Cheryl. Here's an excerpt from my dad's email about her thyroid cancer surgery:

Well, it is over. Talked to Roger (my brother) this morning and the surgery lasted five and one half hours. It was originally thought it would take 3 to 4 hours. Yesterday after Cheryl woke up, she could only whisper. This morning her voice is fine. The surgeon saw her this morning and he said all is well. He wants to see her later this afternoon and will probably let her go home but that is not for sure yet. The surgeon said "He got it all."

Needless to say, we are very thankful! Folks from all around the world were praying (thanks Rodney and Mai), and we are so grateful--mostly to God, our great Healer!

Till next time,

Prayer request

My brother called on Friday with news that his sweet wife, Cheryl was just diagnosed with thyroid cancer. She is having surgery on Tuesday, March 17.

Please pray for a good outcome and quick recovery. This is tricky surgery, but the surgeon is skilled. We are praying for God to guide his hands.

Thank you for remembering Roger and Cheryl and their three children.

Till next time,

Nice visit

My sister Cheri was here briefly, and we had a nice, but too short visit. Her plane came in 30 minutes, so, although I was watching the progress from my computer at work, I didn't get away from my desk until the NWA website read "plane landed but not at gate."

We went to Youthworks to meet the leader of the group my nephew traveled with to Florida on a missions trip. Then we went to Whole Foods and ate chocolate truffles, Yumm. We had dinner with Tim and the kids, and watched The Office and ate popcorn.

In the morning we walked the dog, then stopped at Mark's house to see the remodeling progress and have Cheri meet Zeus, Mark's sweet lab mix. Then lunch at Eddington's and a visit to Northwestern bookstore before I dropped her off at Crown College to meet her son Daniel.

They'll be back next weekend, as they are on a "road trip" to see Cheri's other two sons. Have fun, y'all--can't wait to see you next weekend!

Till next time,

Suzi
